My heritage is part Irish, part Scottish. Take one look at me and you could have guessed that my fair skin, red hair, and blue eyes, are that of Irish descent. Mike is also part Irish, part Scottish. If you have ever talked to him for more than 5 minutes, he has definitely already told you of his Irish background. The boy loves being Irish and to say that St. Patrick's Day is a big deal, is slightly understated.
I am wearing green today at the office and my bosses are trying to have a little fun with us.
They are cute.
They also ordered us pizza, which I completely inhaled before taking a picture. I was pretty hungry, I guess! If you can imagine what a veggie and a cheese slice look like, there is your picture. :)
I woke up dragging today since my wonderful, Irish, husband made me stay out until midnight last night. By the time I got up this morning, my dreams of running and the gym were long gone. :(
Luckily, I had gotten in a mile walk yesterday during lunch and plan to do the same today. We will also be working out on both Saturday and Sunday now, since we had today off.
I attempted to make a shake this morning, but it didn't turn out quite as well as those that Mike has been making. I think I put way too much yogurt in mine, so the vanilla flavor was pretty powerful. It was still pretty good, though, so I had that for my breakfast. Knowing I was getting pizza for lunch, I figured a light breakfast was in order.
Since we met some friends out for drinks last night, we decided to just eat there as well. We headed to Buffalo Brothers since they have a huge patio with lots of TVs for some basketball competition that is going on right now. ;) only kidding...
It was a good time catching up with friends and enjoying the outdoors.
Lindsay and I decided to split a mexican pizza and a veggie wrap with fries.
I also had a few beers. I chose a light one, so that I wouldn't go too far over my calorie intake for the day. Didn't do a very good job with that, I guess.
This weekend is going to be full of St. Patrick's Day fun. We are heading to the parade and then to a few festivals going on around town. It should be a great time. :)
Happy St. Patrick's Day Weekend!
