breakfast dreams

Since I knew I wouldn't be able to get a run in yesterday, I spent my lunch break taking a walk outside. It was such a nice day, and it is always good to get out of the office and away from my computer.

When I got back, I was ready for lunch! My wrap was awesome. It pretty much overflowed the tortilla, but that is never a bad thing.

A few minutes after eating lunch, I wanted something sweet... I had a small jar of chocolate, chocolate chip cookie dough almond butter on my desk and a knife, so I dug in for a knifeful.

Work last night was super busy. Every time I thought I was finally catching up, I would get call or request from a patient that would push me further off schedule. I didn't finish my charting until after midnight, so this was one tired girl. I was also so hungry, like always. When I got home, I didn't want to eat anything before going to sleep, so I drank a small glass of milk and went to bed dreaming of breakfast.

I knew I wanted something hearty for breakfast this morning, but I wasn't in the mood for oatmeal or a bagel and almond butter. Instead, I found a veggie sausage in my freezer and decided to make an egg sandwich.

Whole wheat toast, fried egg, muenster cheese, and veggie sausage goodness. It was exactly what I had been dreaming of. :)

Mike comes home today and I am so excited to see him! I didn't realize how much I really depend on him for things around the house until he was gone for a few days. I was really busy, so I really didn't get anything accomplished while he was away, but I did notice how much he helps with the morning routine and getting the dogs together. After working all day yesterday, I felt awful coming home to only let the pups out for a few minutes and then leaving for work again. We will all be really happy to see him tonight.

I am planning to get a run in after work tonight, so I hope it is a good one!
